The roller hockey season takes place during the winter months, with games usually starting in late November or early December.
You can sign up on Community Pass.
The time commitment is minimal. The teams play once or twice a week. The coaches are very understanding of other commitments, so do not let another commitment deter you from signing up. As for travel, we play at the outdoor roller rink in Ridgewood (by Graydon), as well as at other local rinks.
As of 2019-2020 season the Ridgewood Youth Roller Hockey Program has players divided among its Mite, Midget and Junior divisions.
· The Mite division is an in town/short travel program for players in Kindergarten through 3rd grade and 4th grade (depending on experience). Everyone who registers automatically makes a team and participates in a combination of games and clinics.
· The Midget division is a travel team (surrounding towns) for 4th, 5th and 6th graders.
· The Junior division is a travel team (surrounding towns) for 7th, 8th and 9th graders.
· There are near-by towns in the league that have a Seniors division for 10th, 11th, 12th graders. If you are interested in playing at the Senior level, please reach out us and we can put in touch with those teams.
Your coach will let you know about the required gear. However, if you want to get a head start, you can visit our gear page or head to a specialty store like Pure Hockey in Fairfield.
